A truly fascinating case is currently pending with our office in the Circuit Court of Maryland for Anne Arundel County. It involves the oral unspecified contract between a custom motorcycle manufacturer and a buyer. The buyer wanted the “coolest” bike he could get his hands on. It clearly is one of those things every biker would want and every young kid would want when he “grows up”. The problem is that in this case, the biker may have bitten off more than he could chew.
It turns out that a custom motorcycle made from scratch cost in excess of $60,000.00. A word to the wise; if you want someone to build you a motorcycle, make sure you have pictures, brochures, specifications, and estimated prices so you can avoid disputes when it all “comes together”.
